I have a 2006 2500HD(see sig) approaching 95,000miles. When the truck was 1 1/2 years old the passenger side battery started to spit acid out the vent. (checked charging system and it was fine) Replaced the batteries with Optima yellow tops.
Fast forward 1 1/2 years later truck started to crank slower than normal, checked batteries and found the passenger side was gurgling out the vent and it was dead.(again charging system normal when checked)
Replaced those with regular type of batteries and again exactly 1 1/2 years later, trucks cranking slow this time its the drivers side battery and its leaking out the top.( i"ll check the charging system tomorrow, it appears normal as usual).
Is there something going on with the charging intermittently or something? I don't know??? I'm at a loss. I don't get why I burn threw batteries every 1 1/2 years on the dot.
Any ideas?????? Thanks!
