Mazda B3000 blower Issue

My 1998 Mazda B3000's blower only seems to work on high, it does this for the heater and AC i've searched around the net and i've herad mention about a resistor, or fuses but im not quite sure at this pont. Any Ideas?

You have a blower motor resister, usually in the plenum near the blower itself. It consists of sev coiled wires, each one is a different size, and that is what regulates the speed of the motor. It has sev wires going to it, and on high speed, its a direct link , full 12 volts going to the motor. you should see it under the dash, usually in the glove box area. Same thing happened to my mitsu, had a heck of a time getting one, yours should be easier....

Thanks for the help I appreciate it, any Idea where I could get a the proper resistor that I need? Or are they available at any auto parts store/radio shack?

Ya gotta go to an auto parts store. there are two companys that carry your resister. KEM # BR 127 STANDARD MOTOR PRODUCTS #RU-319 Or, you could get it at the dealer, but it would cost almost double, unless you get a good discount. Sometimes, the parts from the above companys are the original part anyhow. BTW, do you have the 3.0 V6 in your mazda?? how has it been?? I`ve heard they do have some oil leak problems?? take care.....

Yea its the 3.0 V6 stickshift, I havent had any oil leak problems so far 55k miles

well, you can always try some online stores for the parts. I always resort to online buying whenever the dealer doesn't have the parts that I need. you can try auto parts .com also.
